New Year's Eve celebrations: World welcomes 2018

The New Year has officially begun, with hundreds of thousands taking to the streets to watch dazzling fireworks and join lively celebrations in the UK.
Crowds swamped the banks of the River Thames in London for the 12-minute display after Big Ben's bongs rung out across the capital at midnight, having been turned back on for the festive period.
In Edinburgh, revellers braved blustery conditions to enjoy Hogmanay celebrations, after Storm Dylan earlier threatened to cause disruption.

Festival Musim Panas Lampion di Shizuoka Jepang Dimulai

 

 

Festival tanda dimulainya musim panas, Festival Shimizu Tomoegawa Lantern Festival dimulai Minggu (16/7/2017) di seputaran Sungai Tomoe di Shizuoka Jepang.

Festival ini menampilkan sekitar 5.000 lantern (lentera atau lampion) diapungkan di permukaan sungai.

 

Malaysia welcomes New Year 2018 with fireworks display


Fireworks lit up the skies of the capital city and several locations nationwide as Malaysia welcomed New Year 2018 after the clock struck midnight.

The colourful fireworks were followed by several events attended by thousands of Malaysians from various racial and religious backgrounds, as well as some tourists.

World's largest laser show lights up Las Vegas

 

 

 

In 2016, Britain's ER Productions set the unofficial world record for largest-ever laser show, by putting on a show in Milan with over 220 lasers. Last weekend, in celebration of a decade in business, the company beat that record with a 314-laser show in Las Vegas.
